Participating Subscribers can search the register either by name and specific company or by postcode to see whether a U.K. company is a registered defaulter. Depending on the facts revealed, potential creditors are able to ascertain whether or not such debtors are likely to be a sound credit risk.
Furthermore, CPA's Subscribers can view the number of entries of bad debts in various regions within the U.K. to see where the majority of defaulters are recorded. The defaulters register does not replace other forms of commercial information such as Status Reports however as the register builds up it will supplement credit reports enabling Subscribers to make more informed decisions faster.
